"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good."
-1 Peter 2:1-3
"They go from strength to strength,
till each appears before God in Zion."
-Psalm 84:7
Something else...
What will I take with me? All I have I can't carry or hold in my hands. "Let's take the boards off of the house!" we all say. We'll sing for each other to keep company on the long road. Our only luggage is each other. He continues, "That was a great tune, and he's a great tuner of lives. Let's sing that one again." We move out and we move in together. I came searching for a real experience and I got a real family. They all crowd around, "He's thanking you," they say in unison. We hold free concerts and share food, the seed of the show quickly takes hold and something more substantial branches out and grabs hold of the wall that has been there since the beginning.
"We found each other and we've found You."
"Come on in. Everyone's here and waiting for you."
Everything is disintegrating in unison and making one of those bottles of colored sand you get at the fair that must be held ever so gently or it just becomes blackish looking sand again.
"Friends I'm so glad we've found each other."
"That's the reason these songs are sung anyways."
We plant gardens. We eat together. We make messes together. We play music together. We have festivals. We share in suffering together. We share ourselves and our resources. We have free concerts. We have babies and elderly in our midst. We don't believe in borrowing, only giving. We bless. We take bike rides and long, long walks. We sew up the worn out parts of legs and lives. We read old books and listen intently. We say hello on the street and are always glad to see each other. We grow together. We work together, live together and celebrate Jesus together.
"Let's take the boards off of the windows."
